### What FEG does

FEG sits at the center of the ecosystem on BNB Chain.

Core utility includes:

* Staking rewards from eligible ecosystem activity

### Rewards, backing, and lending

Holders can stake FEG to earn rewards.

Reward flow comes from FEG trading and eligible SmartDeFi™ ecosystem activity on that chain. As ecosystem volume grows, staking can grow with it.

FEG also includes asset-backing. That creates a baseline value supported by backing assets inside the protocol.

That baseline can rise over time and helps narrow the gap between market price and underlying backing value.

### History

FEG first launched on BNB Chain in February 2021.

In March 2023, it relaunched through the SmartDeFi™ Launchpad with stronger security and upgraded features.

On May 27, 2024, FEG upgraded again to the latest SmartDeFi™ version.

FEG uses buy and sell taxes to support core protocol functions.

Those taxes fund staking, backing growth, liquidity, operations, and burn mechanics.

Wallet-to-wallet transfers stay tax-free.

The backing allocation grows the on-chain reserve.

#### Marketing and development

This allocation supports ecosystem operations.

That includes product work, infrastructure, exchange support, and ongoing platform maintenance.

That can reduce price impact during larger trading periods.

#### Burn

The burn allocation reduces supply over time.

That helps tighten supply while supporting the token’s backing model.

If a user buys **1,000 FEG**, a **3%** buy tax allocates **30 FEG** across the tax buckets.

If a user sells **1,000 FEG**, a **5%** sell tax allocates **50 FEG** across the tax buckets.

This guide uses SafePal as the example wallet.

2. Install the app.

1. Open the app and go to **Wallet**.
2. Open the menu with the three dots on the right.
3. Select **Manage Coins**.
4. Search for `FEG` or use this BNB Chain contract:

### Reward sources

FEG stakers earn rewards from FEG trading volume and from eligible activity inside the SmartDeFi™ ecosystem. The more ecosystem activity there is, the more rewards can flow into staking.

### What FST is

After staking, your FEG moves into the staking contract and you receive **FEG Staking Shares** or **FST**.

FST represents your ownership in the staking pool. It is the record used when you unstake.

FST cannot be transferred to another wallet.

### Before you start

Make sure you hold **FEG** in the wallet you plan to connect.

Keep some native gas token in that wallet for approvals and staking transactions.

### Connect your wallet

### Approve and stake FEG

Open the **Staking** tab on the left.

Select **Stake**, then enter the amount of FEG you want to stake.

If the button shows **Approve**, confirm that transaction first. Approval lets the staking contract access your FEG.

After approval confirms, click **Stake** and confirm the second transaction in your wallet.

You may see two wallet prompts in total. Keep enough gas for both.

### Verify your staking position

After the transaction confirms, the staking panel shows your staked amount, rewards, and other staking details.

Your wallet also receives **FST** staking shares, which track your position in the pool.

# Liquidity Bonds

### Overview

Liquidity Bonds let you add BNB to FEG liquidity through a fixed-term LP position.

When you mint a bond, you deposit BNB. The bond matches that value with FEG at a **1:1 value ratio** to form the LP position.

The bond matures after **12 months**. After maturity, you can withdraw the LP position and any eligible income generated during the term.

### Bond terms

* **Match ratio:** 1:1 by value between deposited BNB and paired FEG
* **Term:** 12 months
* **Withdrawal:** Available after maturity

### How Liquidity Bonds work

1. Deposit any amount of BNB.
2. The bond pairs that deposit with an equal value of FEG.
3. The combined assets form the LP position for the bond term.

**Example:** Deposit **1 BNB** and the bond adds **1 BNB worth of FEG** to create the LP position.

### Potential outcomes

Your final result depends on market conditions during the bond term.

Key factors include:

* **FEG price movement**
* **Trading volume**
* **LP income** earned from swap activity

If trading volume stays active, the LP position can earn additional income during the term. If FEG price changes significantly relative to BNB, the value of the LP position can also change.

### What happens at maturity

After the 12-month term ends, you can:

* Withdraw the LP position
* Keep the LP position to continue earning LP income
* Remove part or all of the LP to realize gains or rebalance exposure

LP returns are not fixed. Results depend on price movement and trading activity during the bond term.

### Overview

Asset-backing gives a SmartDeFi™ token an on-chain reserve.

That reserve is built from trading activity.

It supports a measurable backing value per token over time.

Asset-backing supports baseline value.

It does not lock the market price to one level.

### How asset-backing works

1. A portion of trading activity routes to the asset-backing pool.
2. The pool holds the backing asset chosen at launch.
3. That asset can be BNB, USDT, or another supported coin.
4. Backing per token changes as the pool grows or supply changes.
5. If tokens are burned, each remaining token can represent more backing.

### How backing value is calculated

Backing value is the reserve value per token.

It depends on two moving parts:

* The total value held in the backing pool
* The token supply used for the backing calculation

If the pool grows, backing per token can rise.

If supply falls, backing per token can also rise.

**Market price** is the live trading price.

Market price can move above or below the backing value.

### Simple example

Assume a token has:

* **100 BNB** in the backing pool
* **1,000,000 tokens** in circulating supply

That means each token has **0.0001 BNB** of backing.

If supply drops to **500,000 tokens** and the pool stays the same, each token has **0.0002 BNB** of backing.

That is why supply reduction can increase backing per remaining token.

### What changes backing over time

Backing can change when:

* Trading activity adds more value to the pool
* Token supply rises or falls
* The token design routes value into the reserve

That means backing is a live on-chain metric, not a fixed launch number.

### Why it matters

Asset-backing changes the risk profile of a token.

It gives the project:

* A baseline value supported by reserve assets
* On-chain reserve growth tied to activity
* A foundation for features like [SmartLending](/smartdefi-tm-platform/smartdefi-protocol/smartlending)
* Clear backing data that users can inspect on-chain

### What it does not do

Asset-backing does not freeze market price.

Market price can still move quickly and remain volatile.

Asset-backing adds underlying value support.

It does not remove speculation, volatility, or shifts in demand.

#### Can holders withdraw the backing directly?

Not by default.

Backing is part of the token design and powers SmartDeFi™ mechanics.

#### Does backing always increase?

Backing usually grows through trading activity.

Interest-free loans made simple.

### Overview

SmartLending lets holders borrow against the on-chain backing value of an eligible SmartDeFi™ token.

That means you can access liquidity without selling or burning your token.

When a loan starts, the protocol locks the token as collateral and releases the equivalent value in the token's backing asset.

SmartLending is built on [Asset-Backing](/smartdefi-tm-platform/smartdefi-protocol/asset-backing).

Loan value comes from the token's on-chain backing data.

### How it works

1. Deposit an eligible SmartDeFi™ token as collateral.
2. Receive the token's current backing-based loan value.
3. Repay within **30 days** with **no interest**.
4. If needed, extend the loan for another 30 days by burning **0.1%** of the collateral.

The loan uses the token's current on-chain backing value when the loan starts.

The payout is made in the token's backing asset.

For example, if a token is backed by WBNB, the loan is paid in WBNB.

SmartLending does not depend on external price oracles to value collateral.

### Simple example

Assume you deposit **1,000 tokens**.

Assume each token has **0.02 WBNB** of backing at the time the loan starts.

Your loan pays out **20 WBNB**.

If you extend the loan once, the protocol burns **0.1%** of the collateral.

For **1,000 tokens**, that extension burns **1 token**.

### Loan lifecycle

#### Start a loan

The protocol locks your token as collateral.

It then releases the equivalent value in the token's backing asset.

#### Repay the loan

You can repay in one transaction or in batches.

As you repay, collateral can be released in batches.

#### Close the loan

When the loan is fully repaid, the remaining collateral returns to your wallet.

#### Extend the loan

You can extend the loan once for another **30 days** by burning **0.1%** of the collateral.

#### Default

If the deadline passes without repayment or extension, the loan defaults and the collateral is burned.

### Why people use it

SmartLending gives holders access to liquidity without exiting their position.

Common use cases include:

* Covering short-term liquidity needs
* Reallocating capital without selling
* Accessing backed value while keeping exposure to the token

### Why the model is different

SmartLending does not rely on external price oracles for collateral ratios.

Loan value comes directly from the token’s on-chain backing data. That removes a major source of oracle-based risk.

SmartLending works with eligible SmartDeFi™ tokens that have the feature enabled.

#### Is there a tax for taking a loan?

No loan tax applies by default.

If the token itself has reflection tax logic, that reflection behavior can still affect the process.

#### What asset is the loan paid in?

The loan is paid in the token's backing asset.

For example, a token backed by WBNB pays out in WBNB.

#### Why does the token disappear from the wallet?

The token is locked inside the lending contract as collateral.

For example, if the token is backed by WBNB, the loan is paid out in WBNB while the token remains held by the protocol.

#### Do tokens inside SmartLending receive reflections?

No.

While the token is held as collateral inside the smart contract, it does not receive reflections.

#### Can I repay in batches?

Yes.

You can repay in multiple transactions. As you repay, collateral can be released in batches. Once the loan is fully repaid, the remaining collateral returns to your wallet.

#### What happens if backing changes during the loan?

After staking, users receive **SmartDeFi™ Stake Shares** or **SDSS**.

SDSS represents ownership in the staking pool and acts as the record used when unstaking.

### Optional sacrifice

# Create a Token

Set core token settings, choose a backing asset, and prepare for launch.

### Overview

Create a SmartDeFi™ token from the launchpad in a few steps.

The deployer lets you define token settings, taxes, backing asset, and launch path without writing a contract.

### Before you start

Make these decisions first:

* Choose your launch path before final setup
* Pick a backing asset that fits your token design

### Create your token

1. Open [SmartDeFi.com](https://smartdefi.com).
2. Select **Launch SD** in the left menu.
3. Open the **Create SmartDeFi Token** window.
4. Enter your token settings.
5. Click **Create Token** and confirm the transaction.

### Main settings

Choose the launch path first, then configure settings around that model. It helps avoid rework later.

The token creation menu lets you configure:

* **Token name** — letters and numbers only
* **Token symbol**
* **Supply** — up to 5 quintillion
* **Backing tax** — sends value into the asset-backing pool on each trade
* **Backing asset** — the coin or token used for asset-backing, with **WBNB/WETH** as the default

SmartDeFi™ works best with backing assets that use **18 decimals**.

If you plan to launch an LGE, the decimals of the backing asset affect whether LGE participants can receive their asset-backing portion during **Claim Shares**.

Backing assets with fewer than **15 decimals** will likely not distribute the asset-backing portion during LGE claim events. Liquidity shares still work as intended, and the token can still use other SmartDeFi™ features.

### Tax options

You can also configure:

* **Burn tax** — burns tokens during trading
* **Liquidity tax** — adds paired liquidity
* **Growth tax** — sends tokens to the project wallet for operations
* **Staking tax** — funds staking rewards
* **Reflections tax** — distributes token rewards to holders
* **Different buy and sell taxes**

By default, **transfer tax** follows the buy tax settings.

The combined limit is **50% max on buys** and **50% max on sells**.

The default protocol fee is **0.3%**.

If your custom tax is **5%**, the total effective tax is **5.3%**.

Once you confirm the transaction, the token is created and the full supply is sent to your wallet.

After token creation, choose one of these launch methods:

# Project Owner Dashboard: Add Logo, Token info, Update Tokenomics and more

After token creation, the project owner dashboard becomes the main control center for the project.

From here, you can manage launch settings, liquidity, backing, staking, tokenomics, branding, and social links.

### Add logo and description

Use this area to add project branding, token details, and links that appear across the platform.

### Add asset-backing

If you have funds available in your wallet, you can add backing manually at any time.

If you do not add funds manually, the backing pool can still grow automatically from the backing tax configured during token creation.

### Adjust tokenomics taxes

Use **Edit tax** to update taxes after launch.

Important rules:

* Tax changes are not instant
* New tax settings have a **3-day delay** before activation
* Until activated, the old tax settings remain live

When you suggest new taxes, the token page shows a public warning so investors can see that changes are pending.

### Use SDscan for advanced actions

[SDscan](/smartdefi-tm-platform/token-launchpad/sdscan-tool) gives project owners deeper contract-level control.

Use it to read contract data and manage advanced protocol actions within the limits allowed by SmartDeFi™.


# Private Liquidity Launch

### Overview

Use this launch path when the owner wants to provide liquidity directly.

Open the project dashboard after token creation to launch the token with owner-funded liquidity.

### Deploy swap

Use this method if you are not launching through LGE or Bonding Curve.

To make the token publicly tradable on PancakeSwap or Uniswap:

1. Click **Deploy Swap**.
2. Enter the amount of SD tokens to pair.
3. Enter the amount of **BNB/ETH** to pair with them.
4. Approve the transaction.
5. Click **Deploy Swap** again to create the pool.

A larger starting pool usually reduces price impact when trading begins.

The token-to-BNB/ETH ratio you choose sets the initial market price.

Once complete, the selected SD tokens and BNB/ETH move from your wallet into the liquidity pool. The project is then live for public trading.

### Add asset-backing

You can also add funds to the asset-backing pool at any time.

1. Open **Add Backing**.
2. Enter the amount to add.
3. Approve the transaction.
4. Submit the backing deposit.


# Presale Launch (LGE)

🚀 The Future of SmartDeFi™ Presales is Tokenless!

### Overview

LGE stands for **Liquidity Generation Event**.

Unlike a traditional token presale, SmartDeFi™ LGE is **tokenless**. Participants do not buy free-floating tokens before launch. Instead, they receive vested LP-based claims after the event completes.

### How LGE differs from a normal presale

Key differences:

* Participants buy into liquidity formation, not loose presale tokens
* Claims unlock over time through a vesting schedule
* Claimed LP does not enable direct token dumping in the usual presale style
* Developers can receive a vested LP share instead of separate early token inventory

### Why the model exists

The LGE model is designed to reduce common presale problems:

* Immediate post-launch dumping
* Large unstaged unlocks
* Weak alignment between developers and participants

By vesting LP claims, the system keeps liquidity formation and claim release structured after launch.

### Built-in liquidity design

LGE can create two liquidity paths:

* The main **SD/BNB** or **SD/ETH** pool
* A secondary **SD/FEG** pool

That second pool can create arbitrage opportunities and connect launch activity back into the wider protocol.

# LGE for Devs

### Overview

Use LGE when you want to launch with community-provided liquidity instead of funding the whole liquidity pool yourself.

The event creates vested LP-based claims for participants after the presale ends.

### Step 1 — Deploy the LGE

Configure these LGE settings carefully:

* **Tokens for LGE** — the amount of SD tokens committed to the event. Using **100%** creates the strongest alignment.
* **Rate** — the number of SD tokens per BNB/ETH. This affects the launch price.
* **Max buy** — the maximum contribution per wallet.
* **Start date and time** — when the event begins.
* **Duration** — how long the event stays open.
* **Vesting delay** — time between claim windows.
* **Vesting rate** — percentage unlocked in each claim window.
* **Backing share** — percentage of raised value sent to asset-backing. A common target is **50%**.
* **Dev share** — percentage of vested LP allocated to the project owner.
* **FEG share** — share allocated to the SD/FEG side versus the SD/BNB or SD/ETH side.

**• SAFU tag**

The LGE receives the **SAFU** label when:

* At least **98%** of supply is deposited
* **Dev share** is **10% or less**

After reviewing the settings:

1. Click **Approve**
2. Confirm the approval transaction
3. Click **Deploy**
4. Confirm deployment

#### Edit the LGE before it activates

Before the start time, you can still edit the LGE from the token dashboard using **Edit LGE**.

Once the event is live, the settings can no longer be changed.

#### Configure a whitelist

Before launch, you can enable a whitelist.

Whitelisted wallets get first access to the event. The general public stays blocked until all whitelisted wallets have entered, or until you remove wallets from the whitelist or disable it.

Each whitelisted wallet still follows the same **max buy** rule as everyone else.

### Step 2 — End the LGE and launch the project

If you do not open trading within **72 hours** after the LGE ends, participants can start recovering their funds.

If funds later fall below softcap because users exit, you can still launch with the remaining non-zero amount.

The presale can end in three ways:

#### Hardcap is reached

If hardcap is reached, the event ends immediately.

You then open trading manually through the UI. The system creates the liquidity pools automatically. After that, you or any participant can enable share claims.

#### The event ends at softcap

If time expires and softcap is met, anyone can use **Force end presale**.

The system creates the liquidity pools automatically. After that, enable shares so participants can begin claiming on schedule.

#### The event ends below softcap

If the timer ends below softcap, the event moves to **Failed**.

Participants can then use **Abort presale** and **Exit presale** to recover wrapped BNB/ETH.

#### Special conditions

Special cases:

* If hardcap or softcap is reached but trading is not opened within 72 hours, participants can start withdrawing.
* If users exit and funds fall below softcap but stay above zero, you can still launch with the remaining amount.
* If everyone exits and the pool reaches zero, you can later relaunch with new settings.
* If softcap is not reached, you can abort and create a new LGE.

### Example

Example:

* Hardcap = **1000 BNB**
* Backing share = **35%**
* FEG share = **30%**
* Dev share = **5%**

Calculation:

1. **350 BNB** goes to backing
2. **650 BNB** remains for LP
3. **195 BNB** goes to the SD/FEG side
4. **455 BNB** goes to the SD/BNB side
5. A **5%** dev share gives:
   * **22.75 BNB worth** of vested SD/BNB LP
   * **9.75 BNB worth** of vested SD/FEG LP

### Dev share

The dev share can go up to **50%** of total raised value.

It follows the same vesting schedule as participant claims, with one exception:

The first dev claim can be larger.

Formula:

amt * (51 - devshare) / 10
```

Where `amt` is the normal first unlocked share.


# LGE for Investors

### Overview

An LGE works differently from a normal token presale.

Participants do not receive loose presale tokens before launch. Instead, they receive vested claims tied to the liquidity created by the event.

Key points:

* Funds go into liquidity formation
* Claims unlock over time
* Claimed LP does not create a standard presale dump path
* Projects that commit more supply to the event usually show stronger alignment

### 1. Find presales

Open the **Presale** tab on [FEGex.com](https://fegex.com).

You will see four categories:

* **Live**
* **Upcoming**
* **Completed**
* **Failed**

To join an active event, open **Live** and select **Open LGE** on the project you want to review.

#### Study the presale carefully

Two settings deserve extra attention:

* **Supply for LP**
* **Dev share**

Higher supply committed to LP usually means better alignment. A larger dev share means more of the vested LP goes to the project owner instead of participants.

\- The share allocated to the SD/BNB or SD/ETH pool.

FEG pair\
\- The share allocated to the SD/FEG pool.

Backing\
\- The share sent to asset-backing at the end of the event.

### LP on hard cap

BNB pair LP\
\- The final SD/BNB or SD/ETH liquidity if hardcap is reached.

FEG pair LP\
\- The final SD/FEG liquidity if hardcap is reached.

Backing\
\- The exact amount sent to backing if hardcap is reached.

### LP on soft cap

BNB pair LP\
\- The SD/BNB or SD/ETH liquidity if the event closes at softcap.

FEG pair LP\
\- The SD/FEG liquidity if the event closes at softcap.

### Raised

Live count of invested funds which updates as soon as someone invests in the presale.\
\- Example: `26 / 100` means **26 BNB raised** out of a **100 BNB hardcap**.

### 2. Enter a presale

To participate:

1. Open the LGE page
2. Click **Select**
3. Choose the asset you want to use
4. Enter the amount
5. Click **Enter presale**

The interface can usually convert supported assets such as USDT or FEG into the fundraising asset automatically.

### 3. Exit before the end

Before the event ends, you can exit and recover your contribution.

Open the details view and use **Exit presale**. Funds return as **wBNB** even if you entered with another asset.

If you exit and then re-enter, you can only do that once more.

### 4. Claim funds after the presale ends

The claim flow depends on how the event ends.

#### Presale ended at hardcap

If hardcap is reached, the event closes immediately.

After that:

1. Open the presale in **Completed**
2. Use **Enable shares**
3. Use **Claim shares**
4. Enter `100` to claim the full unlocked portion

On claim:

* From the **SD/BNB** side, SD is burned and you receive the paired BNB plus the related backing value
* From the **SD/FEG** side, SD is burned and you receive the related backing value plus the paired FEG

If a project uses a backing asset with fewer than **15 decimals**, LGE participants may not receive the asset-backing portion during claim events. Liquidity portions still claim normally.

1. Open the failed presale
2. Click **Abort presale**

Some users may prefer to lock LP instead of claiming it immediately.

For example, a project owner can lock the dev share to show stronger liquidity commitment.

### 5. Rewards for investors

#### Increasing your initial BNB via trades

LGE participants effectively gain exposure to the liquidity pool created by the event.

If trading volume grows after launch, the value composition of your share can change. More buying activity can increase the BNB side held by LP providers.

#### Bonus rewards via liquidity taxes

DEX pools also earn swap fees.

Those fees are shared among LP providers based on their share of the pool. The exact amount depends on trading volume and the exchange fee structure.


# SD Bonding Curve

Launch, trade, and finalize a SmartDeFi™ token through a rising-price curve.

### What is the SD Bonding Curve?

The SD Bonding Curve is a SmartDeFi™ launch model with dynamic pricing. Price rises as more tokens are bought.

All trading stays inside the bonding contract while the curve is active. Regular swap trading starts after liquidity is created.

### How the model works

#### Create the token

Create the token from the SmartDeFi™ Launchpad under **Bonding Curve**. Use the default **1B** supply.

Keep **100%** of the supply in the owner wallet until deployment. Do not transfer tokens before launch.

The owner deploys the bonding curve from the project dashboard. The full supply moves into the bonding contract at launch.

You can also set:

* An initial owner buy of up to **10%**
* An anti-whale limit
* An optional vesting period

Participants buy and sell directly through the bonding contract. Earlier buyers get a lower price.

If vesting is enabled, earlier entries lock longer:

* **3×** base vesting below **33%** completion

#### Finalize and open swap trading

The curve auto-finalizes at **24 BNB** on mainnet. It can also be finalized manually after it passes **6 BNB**.

At finalization:

* Liquidity is created
* Liquidity tokens are burned
* Unsold tokens are burned
* Regular swap trading becomes available

#### Claim purchased tokens

Purchased tokens stay in the bonding contract until finalization. Users claim them after liquidity is live.

If vesting is active, claims unlock only after the vesting period ends.

### What happens after completion

Once the curve finishes, the token works like a normal SmartDeFi™ token. It can be traded, transferred, and staked, subject to any active vesting rules.

# How to Create Token for Bonding Curve

## Token Creation for Bonding Curve

The token is created using the SmartDeFi™ Contract Deployer. Tokens will have all SmartDeFi™ features and capabilities of a regular SD token after the bonding curve is completed.

It is not possible to use a custom token contract to launch a SmartDeFi™ Bonding Curve.

All tokens intended for an SD Bonding Curve must meet the following requirements:

* Launched on the SmartDeFi™ Launchpad under the **Bonding Curve** option
* 1B total supply (default in the token launch menu)
* 100% of the supply must be deposited into the bonding curve

Any unsold supply will be burned when the curve is fully bonded and the liquidity pool opens for trading on a decentralized exchange (e.g., PancakeSwap).

### How to create Token for Bonding Curve.

**Step 1.** Open the SmartDeFi™ Launchpad page.

Choose the **Bonding Curve** option and click **Define Parameters.**

**Step 2.** Fill in the following sections:

* **Token Name**
* **Token Symbol**
* **Asset Backing Asset** – WBNB is set as the default. If you choose another backing asset, note that the asset must have 18 decimals for proper SmartDeFi™ protocol functionality.
* **Supply** – Preset at 1 billion tokens and cannot be changed.

Step 3. Click **Create Token** and confirm the transaction.

After confirming the transaction, you will receive the entire token supply in your wallet.

Do not transfer tokens to other wallets. If the system detects less than 100% of the supply in the project owner’s wallet, it will be impossible to launch the bonding curve.

### Overview

After token deployment, the project owner lands on the standard SmartDeFi™ token dashboard.

From there, you can update the token logo and social links, then launch the bonding curve.

Do not add liquidity manually or launch an LGE presale.

#### Step 1. Open bonding settings

Click **Deploy Bonding** to open the bonding curve settings.

These settings can only be changed before the bonding curve goes live.

#### Step 2. Define the settings

**Initial buy amount:**\
The token owner may choose to purchase a portion of the tokens (up to 10%). The purchased share will be subject to the same vesting rules as the general public.

**Anti-whale mechanism:**\
Set a maximum transaction percentage during the bonding curve phase to prevent large trades.

**Token lock duration:**\
The owner can enforce a vesting period for users purchasing tokens during the bonding phase and the trading phase.\
Vesting settings can be set from 0–18 weeks on mainnet (0–18 minutes on testnet).\
The earlier a user enters the bonding curve, the longer the lock period applies (see [Vesting in Bonding Curve](/smartdefi-tm-platform/token-launchpad/sd-bonding-curve/vesting-in-bonding-curve) for more details).

Click **Deploy Bonding Curve** and confirm the transaction.

Once launched, the token appears under the **Bonding** tab on the SmartDeFi™ platform.

The project dashboard also highlights it in yellow while bonding is live.

### Owner rewards

*(To be confirmed for mainnet; 0% on testnet)*

Token owners may earn a share of swap-related fees if the **Token Owner Fee** is activated at the protocol level.

**Token owner fee (from swap fees):**\
A percentage of swap fees that is distributed directly to the token owner in BNB.

For example, if protocol-level swap fees are set to 2% and owner rewards are set to 10%, the token owner will receive 0.2% of total trading fees in WBNB.

# Vesting in Bonding Curve

All token trades (buy and sell) occur internally within the SmartBondingCurve contract using the bonding curve pricing model.

Purchases made at different stages of the bonding curve affect the number of tokens received. For example, a participant purchasing at 80% curve completion will receive fewer tokens than someone purchasing at the beginning of the curve.

If the owner sets a vesting period, any tokens purchased will be locked for the specified number of weeks (or minutes on testnet). Locked tokens cannot be traded within the bonding curve or claimed after bonding is completed until the vesting period expires.

The vesting lock duration is determined at the time of purchase and applies multipliers to the base vesting period, as follows:

* **3× multiplier** — purchases made between 0% and 33% of bonding curve completion
* **2× multiplier** — purchases made between 33% and 66% completion
* **1× multiplier** — purchases made after 66% completion and until bonding curve completion

For example, if the project owner sets a base vesting period of 1 week, tokens purchased before 33% bonding curve completion will be vested (locked) for 3 weeks. During this time, the tokens cannot be sold within the bonding curve or withdrawn.

The vesting schedule for a participant updates based on the most recent purchase position on the bonding curve.

If a participant initially purchases tokens at over 66% completion (1× vesting multiplier) and later makes another purchase below 33% completion, the vesting schedule will update to reflect the most recent purchase. In this case, all purchased tokens will be subject to the 3× vesting multiplier.


# Bonding Curve Finalization

### Overview

When the bonding curve sells out at **24 BNB** on mainnet, or **0.0024 BNB** on testnet, finalization happens automatically.

The contract adds liquidity, burns the liquidity tokens, and opens regular trading through the **Swap** tab.

If the bonding curve passes **6 BNB** on mainnet, or **0.0006 BNB** on testnet, but has not reached the full cap, the token owner can finalize manually.

### Liquidity provisioning

When the bonding curve is completed, liquidity is split equally between the v2 and v3 swap contracts on the decentralized exchange. All liquidity tokens are permanently burned by sending them to a dead address.

### Activate tokenomics on v3 liquidity

This step applies both to bonding curves that reach the full **24 BNB** raise amount and to those that are manually finalized.

After the token is deployed for swapping, it is necessary to activate the v3 pool taxes.

### Finalize bonding manually

#### Step 1. Open the finalization window

On the token dashboard, click **Finalize Bonding**.

Review the information in the **Finalize Bonding** window.

If everything looks correct, click **Finalize Bonding** and approve the transaction.

# How to Trade in Bonding Curve and Claim Tokens

All active Bonding Curve launches can be found under Bonding section on the left side of the website or by searching token address in the Search Bar

### How to trade in active bonding curve:

Step 1. Open the token page and navigate to the **Bonding Curve** tab.

On desktop, the bonding trading options appear on the right side of the page. When using a mobile wallet app, the trading options are displayed in the center of the screen.

Define the amount of **BNB** (mainnet) or **tBNB** (testnet) to use for trading the token.\
Once the amount is entered, a preview will display the number of tokens to be purchased.

Step 2. Click **Swap** and confirm the transaction.

After the transaction is completed, the Bonding page will automatically update to reflect the new bonding status.

### How to Claim tokens after Bonding Curve completion

Tokens purchased during the bonding phase cannot be claimed until the bonding curve is completed and liquidity has been added.

If vesting is enabled, users can withdraw their purchased tokens only after the vesting period has ended.

Once the bonding curve is completed and swapping is deployed, users must claim the tokens purchased during the bonding phase.

Step 1. To claim tokens so they can be traded, transferred, or staked, navigate to the **Bonding** tab on the token page.

After the tokens are available in the wallet, users can navigate to the **Swap** tab and trade the token normally.

# Referral

### Overview

The SmartDeFi™ Bonding Curve includes a referral program.

The referral link is available under the **Referral** section of the platform.

If someone joins through your referral link and trades in the bonding curve, that activity can generate a referral fee for you.

The fee is collected in **WBNB** and can be claimed from the same **Referral** section.

The referral fee percentage is **TBA on mainnet** and set to **2% on testnet**, subject to protocol-level settings.

# Bonding Curve Fees

### Overview

Bonding Curve fees are optional.

They can be set to zero globally or enabled selectively at the protocol level.

Mainnet values remain subject to protocol settings.

### Current public testnet reference

* Launch fee: **0.0001 TBNB**
* Auto-completion raise target: **0.0024 TBNB**
* Referral fee: **2%**
* Swap fee: **1%**
* Token owner fee: **0.1% (10% on 1% swap fee)**

### Fee types

#### Swap fee

Applied on bonding curve trades.

#### Launch fee

Applied when launching a bonding curve.

On testnet, the current public reference is **0.0001 TBNB**.

#### Finalization fee

Applied when a token is finalized before the bonding curve reaches the maximum amount.

#### Referral fee

Paid to a referrer when a launch or swap uses a referral link.

#### Token owner fee

A percentage of swap fees that goes directly to the token owner.

#### Liquidity add fee

When liquidity is added, a percentage of the token can be taken as a fee. This can be used for airdrops or other project purposes.

### Configurable ranges

* **Swap fee:** `0%` to `5%`
* **Launch fee:** `0` to `0.1 BNB`
* **Finalization fee:** `0` to `0.1 BNB`
* **Referral fee:** `0%` to `5%`
* **Token owner fee:** `0%` to `50%` of swap fees
* **Liquidity add fee:** `0%` or `1%` of token supply

# Bonding Curve Testnet

### Overview

Bonding Curve testing is available on BNB Testnet.

Use:

* <https://testnet.smartdefi.com/>

Testnet uses shorter timing so you can validate flows faster.

For example, vesting runs in **minutes** instead of **weeks**.

### Current testnet settings

* Launch fee: **0.0001 TBNB**
* Auto-completion target: **0.0024 TBNB**
* Swap fee: **1%**
* Token owner fee: **0.1% (10% on 1% swap fee)**
* Referral fee: **2%**&#x20;

Mainnet parameters remain subject to protocol settings.

### Faucet

Free testnet BNB is available through the BNB Chain faucet.

The faucet currently provides **0.3 TBNB** every **24 hours**. It requires **0.002 mainnet BNB** in the wallet to claim.

# Enable Staking

### Overview

Enable staking after your token is created.

This lets holders stake your token and earn rewards from staking taxes and any extra rewards you inject.

### Deploy staking

1. Choose a name and ticker for the staking system.
2. Approve the deployment transaction.
3. Click **Create Stake**.
4. Confirm the wallet transaction.

The approval step buys and burns the required FEG service fee.

After deployment, you move to the customization screen. You can edit the settings now or return later. When ready, click **Enable Staking** to make staking live.

### Customize the staking contract

You can edit staking settings before or after launch.

This gives you room to adapt the staking model as your project evolves.

### Deposit and withdrawal fees

You can set deposit and withdrawal fees, or leave them at **0**.

If a user stakes when the withdrawal fee is **2%**, that user keeps the **2%** setting even if you later raise it. Higher fees apply only to new stakers.

If you lower the fee later, the lower fee applies to both old and new stakers.

### Staking fee allocation

If you enable deposit or withdrawal fees, you can route that value in one of two ways:

* Redistribute it to stakers
* Burn it to increase deflation

### Unstake delay

You can set a custom delay before users can unstake.

If you do not enable a delay, users can enter and exit freely.

To activate it:

1. Click **Enable Delay**
2. Choose the number of days
3. Click **Set Delay**

### Activate sacrifice

Sacrifice lets stakers burn a chosen percentage of their rewards when they claim or unstake.

It is optional and defaults to **0%**. Users decide their own burn level after you enable the feature.

### Inject additional rewards manually

You can add extra rewards from your own wallet.

For example, you can inject BNB or another supported reward token into the staking contract. The system then distributes it across stakers.

You can also set a distribution threshold. For example, if the threshold is **1 BNB**, rewards start distributing only after the reward pool reaches that amount.

### Boost your Asset Backing using the reward tokens

If your token uses the same asset for backing and for an additional reward, you can route part of that reward back into backing instead of distributing all of it to stakers.

This setting is called `SetBoostBacking`.

You can find it in **SDscan → Staking → Interface → Write**.


# Platform fees

Understand protocol fees, staking service fees, and how they stack with gas.

### Overview

SmartDeFi™ keeps launch and usage costs as low as possible.

Most actions only require normal chain gas fees. Some platform features also have protocol-level fees.

### Fees for project owners

* Creating a SmartDeFi™ token is free. You only pay chain gas fees.
* For LGE launches, at least **30%** of raised funds buy and pair FEG in the secondary LP.
* Enabling the staking system burns **$100 worth of FEG**.
* Activating the Fee Converter burns **$100 worth of FEG**.

### Fees for users

* The default protocol fee on buys and sells is **0.3%**.
* If a project uses FEG as its backing asset, the protocol fee drops to **0.1%** on buys and sells.
* Adding tokens to staking applies a **0.5%** entry fee.

### How fees stack

Users can pay three different cost types:

* Chain gas fees for blockchain transactions
* Protocol fees charged by SmartDeFi™
* Project-specific taxes configured by the token owner

For example, if a token has a **5%** project tax, the default total trading fee is **5.3%**.

If the token uses FEG as its backing asset, the same trade totals **5.1%**.

Use **Read** to inspect public contract data.

Typical use cases:

* Confirm ownership wallets
* Check LP and backing thresholds
* Review contract state and settings

Read functions are open to everyone. That makes them useful for both project owners and investors.

   spender (address) - input your token's contract address

   value (uint256) -- put a massive number like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

   Go to READ on the LP contract and get "balance of" of your wallet and copy that number.

   Now go back to FEGscan on WRITE and on “5. initialLockLiquidity” input like this:

   lockDays (uint256) - enter “1” to lock for 1 day. No decimals.

   address (address) - enter the LP address of your token

   amt (uint256) - enter the amount of LP tokens you wish to lock + 18 zeroes or just paste the number you copied earlier from “balance of” on BSCscan

   Min: 1 days

   Max: 2.74 trevigintillion years (9 followed by 71 nines)

   Access: Project owner
6. manualBurn(uint256,uint256,uint256) - will be discontinued
7. removeLiquidity(uint256,address) - Use this function to retrieve your LP tokens from inside the SD token’s contract AFTER the locking time expires.

   You may also use this function to recover ANY tokens, at any time, sent to the token’s contract by other people by mistake.

   amt (uint256) - input amount of tokens you wish to retrieve + 18 zeroes

   address (address) - enter the address of the LP tokens, or the contract address of the tokens you wish to remove if someone sent various tokens by mistake directly to the token contract.

8. setBackingThreshold(uint256) - The backing contract gathers SD tokens inside from the backing tax and then, when the stored tokens amount limit is reached, it sells said SD tokens on the market in exchange for whatever backing tokens you picked for your project. For example, it sells FEG for wBNB.

   By default the limit is set to 0.01% of the total supply.

   amt (uint256) - enter the number of tokens + 18 zeroes

9. setExchange(address,bool) - If you create a new trading pool pair on another exchange for your SD project, you may use this function in order to enable trading taxes to work properly for that new liquidity pool.

   LP (address) - enter the address of the liquidity pool that you want to enable trading taxes for

   adding (bool) - enter TRUE to enable trading taxes

   Access: Project owner
10. setFee() - Once the timer limit is reached after the owner of the SD project suggests a new taxation percentage, any user can use this function in order to activate the new taxes percentages for trading. If this function is not used, trading will continue on the old taxes.

11. setLGE(address)
12. setLiquidityThreshold(uint256) - The backing contract gathers SD tokens inside from the LP tax and then, when the stored tokens amount limit is reached, it sells said SD tokens on the market in exchange for wBNB, which it will send/inject into the liquidity pool, thus affecting the token-to-wBNB ration and increasing the price of the tokens.

    By default the limit is set to 0.01% of the total supply.

    amt (uint256) - enter the desired amount of tokens for the limit + 18 zeroes

13. setNewOwner(address) - When you wish to change the owner of the project you’ll use this function and enter the wallet address to which you wish to be the new owner. You may also renounce ownership of the project by entering the DEAD wallet address (the one with lots of zeroes).

18. suggestSetFee(uint256\[12],bool) - The owner can edit the trading/transfer taxes for his project at any time after project creation. They can use suggestSetFee to suggest new tax percentages and then wait for 3 days in order to activate changes by using 10.setFee.

    feeSet (uint256\[12]) - “10” is 1%, you need to input all 12 taxes, example: “0,1,10,50,70,0,0,10,10,10,10,0” .

    onlySellBuy (bool) - set TRUE to enable transfer taxes or FALSE to disable them

    By default, the transfer taxes always copy the “buy” taxes.

    This is the order of the taxes, 0-5 are the “buy” taxes, 6-11 are “sell” taxes:

    \* fee\[0] = backingFeeBuy

    \* fee\[1] = burningFeeBuy

    \* fee\[2] = liquidityFeeBuy

    \* fee\[3] = growthFeeBuy

    \* fee\[4] = stakingFeeBuy

1. addReward(address,uint256) - Addreward is to send rewards (example wBNB) to users as a payout.

   There's 2 ways to addReward.

   Use addReward. This updates round and distributes

   Input reward token contract and input amount +18 zeros

   Alternatively, you can send reward to contract via transfer. This will use synclevel to determine when to auto distribute. If synclevel is 10 tokens, once there is over 10 tokens it will distribute on next event that has sync attached. (Like claim reward)
2. claimAllReward() - Claim rewards - Claims all accumulated rewards.

   Note that there is a mandatory 30 days split for rewards (meaning you get 50% of the rewards if you claim or unstake within the first 30 days, after 30 days staying in staking and not claiming you get the other half of the rewards. In other words: If you claimed half you lost another half (gave to others). If you wait till after 30 days to claim you can claim all.
3. claimRewardTokenEarned(address) - claim specific reward (30 days rules applicable)
4. emergencySaveLostTokens(address,address,uint256)
5. renounceOwnership() - rennounce ownership of management rights of the staking protocol (this will remove management rights for staking protocol). Input burn wallet address and confirm transaction.
6. sendReward(address,address,uint256)
7. sendTokens(address,uint256)
8. setBoost(uint256) - enter 10 for 1%, 1 for 0.1% etc. Max is 100% (1000 and below)
9. setBoostBacking(bool) - If your SD has backing (for example, in wbnb) and your reward is the same (wbnb). Boost backing will take a % of addReward and send to backing. Applicable to SD owners only.

   Enter true for yes boost and false for no boost
10. setBurnWDFee(bool) - BurnWD will burn the deposit or withdraw fee (if fees are set) if burnWDfee is off and deposit or withdraw fee is on it will distribute rewards to stakers.

    Input

    true - if you want withdrawal and deposit fees be sent to burn

    false - if you want to redistribute withdrawal/deposit fees to stakers
11. setDelay(uint256) - Delay is the amount of delay if matureDelay is true

    Input format:

    1 for 1 day

    Min 1 day, max is 30 days.

    Older stakers after 30 days can leave even if project owner restarts 30 day counter, the mature delay will apply to new stakers.

    If someone stakes on day 29 they will be able to unstake in 1 day because lock ends for that period.
12. setDepositFee(uint256) - Set fee for staking

    Input 10 for 1% format

    Max is 20%<br>
13. setLogics(address)
14. setMatureDelay(bool) - MatureDelay is when you can exit a stake. Is optional and differs from 30 days split.

    Delay will set the unstaking block, so you can say - stake for X amount of days and you cannot leave. If you don't set a delay, stakers can leave at any moment but they are still under the 30 days reward split rule.

    matureDelay is the bool that is set if you want to enforce a delay.

    Input

    true - if you want to enforce specific timeframe for how long stakers will not be able to unstake

    false - if you dont want to enforce this<br>
15. setRewardToken(address,uint256)- Use this to set reward tokens and a threshold (sync level).

    SetReward adds a new reward token like adding wbtc.

    Input reward token contract

    Input Sync level +18 zeros (1+18 zeros=1)

    Even if you chose wbnb during deployment (for example), you still need to set the threshold at which the distribution will happen. You can use any erc20/bep20 (or testnet contracts, lp tokens and SD tokens). SetReward is not applicable to native SD token (e.g., you dont need to setRward for SD token itself, only for the additional reward tokens (busd, dai, wbnb etc).

    Example, if you want staking rewards in wbnb be distributed with every 0.5 wbnb added to staking contract:

    Input reward token contract

# SDPause

### SmartDeFi protocol pause

SDPause can stop transfers and buy or sell activity across all SmartDeFi projects.

Key points:

* It must be triggered manually by FEG team developers.
* It is intended for cases where an exploit affects the SD token contract, SD backing contract, or SD staking.
* It applies to all SmartDeFi projects at once.
* Third-party risks on PancakeSwap, Uniswap, or external locker services do not automatically justify a full protocol pause.

Within **24 hours** of a protocol pause, each project can confirm that it wants to remain paused through the dashboard or SDscan.

Project pause applies to one project only. It does not affect the rest of SmartDeFi.

Key points:

* If a project may be affected by an exploit, contact the FEG team for review.
* Approval speed depends on issue severity and developer availability.
* A project pause requires on-chain approval from both the project owner and the FEG team.
* Withdrawals from SmartBridge, SmartLoans, Loan Extensions, and Burn for Backing remain active.

Project pause is available through SDscan. Project unpause restores full functionality and also requires approval from both sides.

### 1. Switch between themes

### 3. Add wallets

FEGtrack does **not** connect to your wallet.

It reads public holdings data from your wallet address only.

To add a wallet:

1. Tap the **+** button
2. Paste the public wallet address into the **wallet address** field
3. Add a name for the wallet
4. Tap **Save Wallet**

You can also scan the wallet QR code instead of pasting the address.

### 4. Change the network

Use the network icon near the top of the screen to switch between Ethereum and BNB Chain.

If the balance shows zero, check the selected network first.

### How was the ratio of ROX and FEG calculated?

We established the ratio using the opening prices of FEG and ROX on May 15, 2022. The value of ROX and FEG was calculated by dividing the number of native coins (ETH or BNB) paid by the number of tokens (FEG or ROX) received. To determine how much FEG one ROX yields, we divided the native coin value of one ROX by the native coin value of one FEG. In simple terms, this ratio represents the amount of FEG you could have bought for the same price as one ROX.

# Liquidity Loan \[Completed]

## Repayment Total = 100% Repaid (October 16, 2024).

### On March 13th, 2023, FEG secured a loan for 200 ETH converted into BNB to replenish the FEGbsc liquidity pool for the new token contract post-migration.

## Loan Details:

* This loan will be paid back as 200 ETH (The form it was given in).
* A flat fee of $50,000 USD in interest will be paid to the LP provider.

## Loan Repayment Contract:

The FEG (Feed Every Gorilla) team has established a new contract, setting out a plan for allocating 50% of FEG's liquidity, encompassing both FEGeth and FEGbsc tokens. Under this arrangement, the liquidity provider (LP) lender can claim a portion of this liquidity bi-weekly.

**Key Features of the Contract:**

1. **Bi-Weekly Claims:** The LP lender is authorized to claim up to 10% of the allocated 50% liquidity every two weeks from each chain (FEGeth & FEGbsc).\
   \- Note: BNB withdrawn from FEGbsc liquidity will be converted into ETH to maintain an accurate repayment count.
2. **Strategic Liquidity Management:** This phased claiming process is designed to provide sufficient time for the FEG token's price to potentially increase. The goal is to use less than the total allocated 50%, with the remaining liquidity eventually being returned to the FEG liquidity pool, thus preserving and stabilizing the overall liquidity.

## **Addressing Thinning Liquidity: "Bonding" Liquidity Solution**

In response to the potential thinning of liquidity due to these withdrawals, FEGrox has developed an innovative "bonding" contract. This contract allows users to contribute ETH or BNB, which will be paired with the unpaired FEG Tokens following the liquidity withdrawals by the lender.

**Bonding Contract Details:**

* **Duration:** The bonds will have a term of one year.
* **Return on Bond:** At the end of this period, users will receive back their "bonded" ETH or BNB, along with the equivalent amount of FEG tokens they contributed to the pair.
* **Risk Awareness:** Participants should be aware of the possibility of impermanent loss, a common risk for all liquidity providers.

The "bonding" contract represents a strategic approach to bolster the liquidity pool and mitigate the effects of liquidity withdrawal by the lender. This approach not only aids in maintaining a healthy liquidity level but allows users to contribute to and benefit from the FEG ecosystem.

Further information regarding this "bonding" mechanism will be released in due course, including details about its testing and auditing. This proactive measure demonstrates FEG's commitment to maintaining robust liquidity and a stable ecosystem for its users and investors.

The FEG team has also developed a contract to facilitate the incremental release of funds for the [liquidity provider (LP) loan](/resources/archive/liquidity-loan-completed), ensuring the repayment of the loan is done methodically and securely.\
This contract will enable the lender to make claims from the liquidity bi-weekly until the loan is repaid in full, at which point we can close the loan contract and focus on the next goal.


# Old FEGex/SD Recovery

### Early Challenges

We have previously developed and launched innovative platforms including a DEX, fWrap system, and Token Launchpad, all of which offered unique features and functionalities. These platforms were built by dedicated volunteer community members and were actively utilized by the public during their operational phase.

In the early stages of 2022, the rapidly evolving landscape of decentralized finance presented significant security challenges. An internal swap function in both our DEX and the initial classic version of SmartDeFi was exploited, impacting the liquidity pools associated with these platforms.

In response to these challenges, the FEG team, supported by our community volunteers, has formulated a recovery and development plan. This plan leverages the strength and resilience of our community and is designed to enhance our infrastructure and implement robust security measures to safeguard against future vulnerabilities, demonstrating our commitment to the continuous improvement and security of our platforms.

### Learning from Mistakes and Enhancing Security

Despite these challenges, we have taken proactive measures to prevent such vulnerabilities in the future. We have conducted [thorough third-party audits](/welcome/security-audits) using leading blockchain security company [Peckshield](https://peckshield.com) and implemented stringent security protocols. Our lead developer, [FEGrox](https://twitter.com/lifeisdefi), has also played a pivotal role in strengthening our security posture, drawing valuable lessons from the exploit.

### Safeguarding old SmartDeFi Projects

With the support of PeckShield, a security firm, FEG developers took preventive measures on several older SmartDeFi projects to enhance security protocols. This included temporarily restricting access to these projects for both teams and traders. These strategic actions were crucial for conducting thorough security enhancements and ensuring the integrity of the liquidity within these projects. Ultimately, these measures led to the successful recovery of over 2 million dollars in user funds across more than 100 projects.

In response to the challenges faced, recovery efforts have been prioritized for various projects, though not all were immediately accessible for intervention. This includes some older SmartDeFi projects and non-SD projects listed on FEGex, along with our own ROX token.

In light of these events, a comprehensive plan has been initiated to generate the necessary funds from scratch and reimburse investors. This plan is aimed at addressing the impacts systematically and supporting the community moving forward.

# Stage 1 - SDR - Completed

### Recovery of safeguarded SmartDeFi projects

SDR was developed through the collective efforts of dedicated members of our DeFi community. This initiative arose from a crucial need to secure funds that were locked in previous SmartDeFi projects due to exploits. Motivated by a commitment to our users, we pursued a comprehensive solution to protect these assets.

The process was challenging and extended over 1.5 years, involving the replication of the exploit contract, extensive testing, integrating a user-friendly interface, and continuous enhancements. The FEG developers successfully devised a secure method to release these funds. This solution was incorporated into the SmartDeFi Recovery Tool (SDR), which was further validated by a third-party security audit to ensure its robustness and reliability.

### Essential Considerations for Fund Recovery&#x20;

It is important to clarify that the amount recovered through the SmartDeFi Recovery Tool (SDR) may not equate directly to the original locked amounts. Typically, the recovery might show a variance of 24% to 28%, and possibly greater for substantial amounts requiring multiple recovery attempts.

The recovery mechanism involves a flashloan strategy, leveraging 4.5 times the locked balance, which incurs fees associated with the flashloan from PancakeSwap (PCS) and additional costs due to BNB wrapping and unwrapping processes. For example, to recover 100 fBNB, a flashloan of 450 BNB is required, along with the associated blockchain fees.

## Part 1 - How do you unlock your SD project?

### #1 Connect your wallet to the SDR tool

Ensure you're on the "SD RECOVERY" tab, which you can locate at the top, as shown in the example picture.\
\
Next, click "Connect Wallet," select the network your old SD project was on (BSC or ETH), and then proceed with the necessary steps to complete the wallet connection.

Please be aware that these steps may vary depending on your specific wallet type. It's important to note that you should perform this action using the owner wallet associated with your old SD project, not just any random wallet.

### #2 Unlock the funds

* Ensure you are on the "SD RECOVERY" page in the top menu.&#x20;
* Select your old SD project from the dropdown list of projects.
* Click on the "DEVELOPER" tab to access the admin-specific options.
* Next, click the "RESCUE" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet.&#x20;

You have now completed the process, and the funds are unlocked and ready to be recovered by your old investors.

## Part 2 - More admin options after unlocking&#x20;

Now that your project is unlocked and the funds stored within your LP & backing are finally accessible for retrieval, you have a few options and decisions to consider. You can either:

* Allow each investor to claim their share of the stored funds individually.
* Conduct a bulk airdrop of the funds to all your previous investors in one transaction, with the requirement to cover the associated transaction fees.
* Please allow your previous investors to reinvest their funds into a new project you may launch.

Let's examine each option in detail.

### #1 Airdrop funds to your old investors

The SDR tool allows you, as the owner of the SD project, to airdrop the unlocked funds directly to your old investors' wallets, making it convenient for everyone to retrieve their funds at once and ensuring satisfaction all around.

Please be aware that you will be responsible for covering the gas costs associated with this transaction by choosing this option. Given the complexity of the smart contracts underpinning this process, the gas fees could be substantial, necessitating a significant payment to the blockchain.

If you wish to proceed with this method, you must compile a list of all wallet addresses belonging to your previous holders, with each address separated by a comma (example: address1, address2, address3). Afterward, click on the "AIRDROP" button and confirm the transaction.

Your previous holders will now receive their exact share of the fBNB/fETH stored in LP/backing directly to their wallets, with deductions made for the expenses required by the smart contracts for execution.

### #2 Let every investor claim their share individually

This option is relatively self-explanatory. Once you unlock the funds, you are no longer required to take further action. The funds are now accessible for your investors to claim independently, and the guide for them to do so can be found on the "[SDR for Investors](/recovery/old-fegex-sd-recovery/stage-1-sdr/sdr-for-investors)" page.

### #3 Claim reinvested funds to start a new SD project

If you persuade your previous investors to support your new SD project and embark on this fresh venture with you, they cannot claim their share of the fBNB/fETH from your old unlocked SD project. Instead, they can reinvest their funds in your new project.

Once users choose the "reinvest" option, project creators may see the amount of fBNB/fETH they've sent in the "Claimable reinvested allocation" field. This represents the funds available for you to withdraw to your wallet. Please exercise diligence in using these funds, as they are entrusted to you by individuals who trust your commitment.

When you believe a sufficient amount of funds has accumulated from your previous investors, you can click the "CLAIM" button to transfer these funds from your old token LP/backing pool to your wallet. This option can be used multiple times. For instance, you can claim 10 fBNB now, and as more previous investors reinvest their funds over the following weeks, you can claim the newly gathered amount as well, and so on.

In the future, after injecting these reinvested funds into your new SD project and launching it, you will need to devise a suitable method to return these funds to your investors, typically through a token distribution such as an airdrop or another approach chosen collectively by you, your developers, and your community—best of luck with your endeavors.

# SDR for Investors

### #1 Connect your wallet to the SDR tool

Ensure you are on the "SD RECOVERY" tab at the top, as shown in the example picture.\

Next, click "Connect Wallet," select the network on which your old SD tokens were issued (BSC or ETH), and then proceed with the necessary steps to complete the wallet connection.\
\
Please note that these steps may vary depending on your specific wallet type.

### #2 Recover your funds

* To initiate recovery, select your desirSelectropdown list to start recovery.
* &#x20;Once you've selected, new tabs will appear below, named "USER" and "DEVELOPER." If you are a regular investor in the SD project and not its owner, you will only see the "USER" tab, which is perfectly acceptable.
* On this page, in the "Claimable" section, you will find the amount of fBNB (FEG-wrapped-BNB)you are eligible to receive based on your holdings in the SD project.
* Now, you face a decision. You can either claim these funds and transfer them to your wallet by clicking the "CLAIM" button, or you can choose to "REINVEST" and send these funds to the owner of the old SD project, enabling them to kickstart the launch of a new SD project.
* **If you opt to reinvest your funds, make sure, BEFORE doing so, that the owner of the old SD project is still active and trustworthy. Otherwise, there is a risk of losing your funds. Therefore, conduct your research and make an informed decision.**

If you encounter the grey text "Token has not yet been rescued" in the "Claimable" field, it indicates that the owner of this old SD project has not initiated the recovery procedure. We recommend visiting the social media channels of the respective project and attempting to contact the project's owner. Inform them that "SmartDeFi Recovery" has been publicly launched, and their participation is required to release the funds.

### #3 Receiving your money

* Now that you've clicked "CLAIM," you'll receive your funds as fBNB, the traditional FEG-wrapped BNB. This is because the LP and backing of old SD projects were stored in fBNB, not regular BNB or wBNB.
* To convert fBNB back to regular BNB, navigate to the "FWRAP" page in the top menu on the right.
* This page will present two tabs: "UNWRAP" and "WRAP." You only need to use the "UNWRAP" tab, so click on it.
* In the "fBNB amount" field, enter the amount of fBNB you wish to unwrap. It's advisable to enter your total balance, which you can find on the far right.
* Once you've entered the amount, the final step is to click the "UNWRAP" button at the bottom. Congratulations, you've completed the process and recovered your funds from this old SD project.
* If you have additional funds stored in other old SD projects, you'll need to start over by selecting the desired project from the dropdown list and repeating these steps.

# SDR Process

#### No walk in the park

The recovery process is meticulous, involving a sequence of wrapping and unwrapping, converting tokens into their wrapped forms and back again. We've seen it through multiple cycles, adapting it to the unique needs of each project's settings.

#### Liquidity in fBNB and fETH: Wrapping & Unwrapping During the Recovery Process

In SmartDeFi's first iteration, projects have liquidity in fBNB (wrapped Binance Coin) or fETH (wrapped Ethereum).

The recovery process for these projects involves a meticulous sequence of wrapping and unwrapping, which includes:

1. **Wrapping**: This process involves converting BNB or ETH into their wrapped forms (fBNB or fETH).
2. **Unwrapping**: The wrapped tokens (fBNB or fETH) are converted back into their original forms (BNB or ETH).
3. **Multiple Cycles**: The process may require several cycles of wrapping and unwrapping, tailored to the specific needs of each project and the broader ecosystem.

**Additional Aspects of the Recovery Process**

* **Flashloan Fee by PancakeSwap (PCS)**: It's important to note that PancakeSwap collects and keeps a fee for the flashloan, which is not returnable as part of the recovery process.
* **Fee Variability:** The incurred cost ranges from 22% to 28%, including the fWrap taxes incurred during the wrap and unwrap process, distributed as reflections. The cost can increase if re-recovery is necessary (multiple attempts due to the size of the liquidity pool.
* **Routing Decision for Flashloans**: A strategic decision was made to route the flashloans through our FEG/BNB pool rather than opt for one of PancakeSwap's pools, such as BNB/USDT. This choice ensures that the fees imposed by PancakeSwap are partly allocated to our FEG liquidity pool (LP) instead of being entirely directed to PancakeSwap. Notably, executing a flashloan requires approximately 4.5 times more BNB than the liquidity in the pool being recovered. Consequently, as the recovery process progresses, there may be a noticeable increase in the total liquidity of FEG and BNB in our pool, which is a direct outcome of these routing decisions.
* **Fee Allocation**: PancakeSwap adds the partially collected fee to a pre-allocated pool of FEG Tokens at an equal dollar value ratio to the liquidity pool but does not issue LP tokens for this fee. Instead, we must provide FEG Tokens to match the partial fee. This matched amount is then placed into the FEG liquidity pool.

Our team is committed to managing these complexities to ensure the efficient recovery of projects while maintaining the stability and vitality of our ecosystem. We value your ongoing support and are dedicated to transparency as we navigate this intricate recovery process.


# Stage 2 - Drained projects

### Recovery of Affected Projects

Several projects featured on the old FEGex, some old SmartDeFi projects, and ROX token encountered a vulnerability that resulted in the depletion of LP funds. In response, the FEG team is fully committed to supporting the projects that rely on the foundational mission of both FEG and FEGex.

To address this situation, the FEG team has not only worked to reclaim the affected funds through traditional methods but has also developed a variety of strategies to generate new funds. We are proactively pursuing these initiatives to restore and reinforce the projects impacted.

### Timeline

The timeline for Stage 2 of the recovery process is currently undetermined and will depend on trading volumes since the funding sources for this plan are derived from trading taxes. This project is designed for the long term, and the rate of fund generation and accumulation is a critical factor.

For example, the planned vesting period for ROX holders is set to extend over two years. Therefore, it is challenging to provide a specific timeline for the accumulation of the necessary funds at this stage.

* Accumulate funds to replenish the liquidity pool for affected projects.
* Distribute new FEG tokens to ROX investors.
* Provide reimbursements to development teams listed on FEGex.
* Compensate investors from previous SmartDeFi projects.

### Strategies for Fund Generation

To facilitate the accumulation of funds for the support of projects, we have adopted several strategic measures:

* Introduction of new FEG taxes designed to generate funds progressively.
* Implementation of a nominal trading fee for projects initiated on the new SmartDeFi Launchpad.
* Transaction or subscription fees on the new Bridge and FTW (P2P) Limit-Order platform.
* Plans to explore monetization options once traffic levels on the Aggregator support such initiatives.
